Payment Options

I accept payment in the form of e-mail money transfer (EMT) and credit card. If paying by e-transfer, please send your payment before the start of our session. If you prefer to pay by credit card your information will be held securely through Stripe, a third-party application integrated into my practice management system. A receipt is e-mailed to you upon receipt of payment. There are no refunds for services already incurred.

Insurance Coverage

The counselling and psychotherapy services I provide as a Registered Social Worker are not covered under OHIP. If you have extended health benefits check with your insurance provider to see if you qualify for coverage and reimbursement.

Registered Social Workers are authorized medical practitioners so you can claim your counselling services on your taxes. 

Cancellation Policy

If for any reason you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice in order to avoid a cancellation fee. You will be charged 100% of the service fee for missed appointments and late cancellations. Insurance receipts will not be provided for missed appointments.

Confidentiality Policy

In order to provide social work services to you, I will need to collect and record personal health information relevant to your current situation. This is a necessary part of the assessment and treatment process. Your information will be stored in a secure online practice management system.

All personal health information collected by me during the provision of social work services will remain confidential and secure except when:

• There are reasonable grounds to suspect abuse or neglect of a child under 16 years old;

• There are reasonable grounds to suspect that you may cause serious harm to yourself or someone else;

• There are reasonable grounds to suspect that you have been or are currently being sexually abused by a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers;

• It is subject to subpoena by a court;

• Your prior approval has been obtained to disclose your information to another person or professional agency.
